Full Tilt Poker is the second largest poker room on the net, which is a great achievement for a room that opened in 2004. The site offers great promotions, tournaments and a new, unique way to play online poker, called Rush Poker which we will go through later.
The site is also home to a host of top poker professionals, including Phil Ivey, Cole South, Mike Matusow and Patrik Antonius. The lure of playing with the best players in the world has brought a wealth of traffic to the site, with thousands of players just railing the big limit games in awe of the pros.
Full Tilt Poker Initial Deposit Bonus
As a reward for making your first deposit, Full Tilt will award you with a 100% match bonus up to a maximum $600, when you use bonus code SEXY600 in the cashier. The bonus is added to your Bonus Account, with the fund being released into your main account as you earn the sufficient FTP's (Full Tilt Points).
You earn points each time rake is taken from a pot in a cash game or when you pay tournament fees. For each dollar raked in cash games, you will earn 1 FTP. For every dollar you pay in tournaments fees, you will earn 7 FTP's. Each FTP is worth $0.06 of your bonus, and it is paid into your account in increments of 10% of your deposit amount or $20. So if your bonus is over $200, the bonus will be paid in $20 portions.
Full Tilt Poker Promotions
As we mentioned earlier, Full Tilt has offered players a new way to play their favourite game, which they have called Rush Poker. As the name suggests, the game is much faster then a normal game, as you are transferred to a new table instantly after you have folded your hand, no matter what stage the hand is in. So, instead of waiting around for a new hand to start you are instantly dealt a new one, at a new table. This means the number of hands you can play per hour is increased significantly, with 300+ hands an hour per table easily achievable. The only drawback to this of course is that you can't get a read on the players, as you won't be at the table long enough!
Another big promotion at Full Tilt Poker is the FTOPS (Full Tilt Online Poker Series). The FTOPS is a series of tournaments run in the same format as the WSOP. It runs over a two week period in which a tournament is ran each night with a different game type and buy-in. Each tournament also has a special host in the form of a Full Tilt Pro. The series ends with a Final Event, which in the last series had a guaranteed prize pool of $3,000,000. Infact, the tournament series has been so popular Full Tilt has added a second series called the Mini-FTOPS. It is ran identically to the main series except the buy-ins are much lower so people of all bankroll sizes can take part in the action.
Full Tilt Poker Software and Graphics
Full Tilt is known for having great software, which many regard as the best available. The lobby is simple and easy to use, with three different views to ensure you can find the game you like as fast as possible. It also provides the necessary stats such as players per flop, average pot size etc. You can also find out any important information from the lobby, such as your current bonus offers. The site also has a good security feature, in which a player can block themselves from logging onto the poker room. This is a great way to manage tilt as it is irreversible once confirmed. You can exclude yourself from the site for 12 hours up to 180 days.
Once onto a table the software gets better. Players can change the background to a range of images provided by the site, or find hundreds more on the internet. You can also change your avatar, cards, chips and even the buttons. Some of this does take some specialist skills but nothing that cannot be found on the Web. The software allows for smooth play and multi-tabling is also easy. The software currently allows players to play a maximum 8 tables; however a simple email to Full Tilt asking for this to be increased is possible.
Full Tilt Poker Support
If there is one thing that does let Full Tilt down, it is probably their support. They currently only offer help through e-mail and you can wait a few days before getting a reply. They have a different email address set up for each problem you may encounter, with the more serious issues normally resolved fastest.
